Hello! I am planning to go to the local GNC to purchase some supplements to add to my healthy(I hope!) diet. I am in the process of losing some fat and increasing & toning the existing muscle I have. I would like something that will help to tone and add some muscle to my body. Does anyone have any reccomendations? I don't want to get talked into buying something that won't help. Thanks

A supplement blend I have used in the past, with definite success has been L-Carnitine, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, L-Tyrosine and (if you can handle very powerful thermogenics) DREN (Drenbuterol). The first three can be taken without the DREN, or the DREN can be substituted for another, lighter, thermo. The Carnitines help your body use fat as energy via transport to the mitochondria. Tyrosine is a neurostimulant, mild appetite suppressant, and also assists in thyroid production. The GNC people are going to push Hydroxycuts, among others, on you. These will "work" but are just as likely to make you lose muscle mass through catabolism as you are to lose fat. Normally, these people have no real education into sports nutrition or just want to sell expensive supplements to make a better commission. For muscle gains I recommend Whey Protein to start. I use the GNC brand 100% Whey Protein because it tastes great and works very effectively. To enhance the rate of protein synthesis, at relatively low cost and without taking hormones, I use HMB (Calcium Hydroxymethylbutyrate Monohydrate). 5 Methyl 7 Methoxy Isoflavone works even better, but is pretty hard to find, short of contacting a manufacturer directly. Your best bet is to go with a multivitamin L-Carnitine, Acetyl-L-Carnitine, L-Tyrosine, a whey protein, and HMB.

Depends what you are trying to do? If you are trying to lose weight then stick to the program and eat lots of whole wheat, fruits and vegetables, take a multi vitamin and get alot of sleep. If you are trying to gain muscle then make sure to get enough protein in your diet plus the above recommendations. I would add a soy or whey protein shake to your daily diet. Its mainly all about what you eat and eating healthy.

You should bulking plus body building exercises. These means you have to eat 6 times a day composed of high protein and carbohydrate diet. Chicken, beef, fish, pork meat and vegetables. If you're vegetarian you might try tofu or textured vegetable protein (TVP) which tastes like meat but doesn't contain any animal meat. For body building, you don't need to purchase fancy and expensive muscle toning weight lifting machines, but rather a simple dumb exercise is a good start. health supplement ca

When I was looking for the appropriate supplement, I first of all considered natural compounds. I wanted my body not to be exhausted, but to be nurtured the natural way. I have discovered dietary supplements which were developed for soldiers. Some of these supps were designed especially for intensive workouts, others, for general well-being. Moreover, they have the supplement for enhancing natural hair growth. So, I tried Multipurpose High-Potency Super Nutritional Complex, and I am satisfied with results. I feel more energetic, more concentrated and much more resistant to stress.

Hello friend. No offense but i do not get the point why people go after supplements? I mean if you have no deficiencies then why supplements? You should get all the essential nutrients from the food you eat. Even then you are facing malnutrition than you may go for supplements buddy.

Supplements include vitamins, minerals, nutrients, fiber, iron and acids that are used to boost energy, build stamina, grow bones, strong muscles and improve fitness. While choosing a supplement check that its should not too high potency, high proteins and its related to your body type because it may cause fatness and increase cholesterol.

Sticking to a healthy diet with a lot of lean protein is usually enough to meet your needs. You could add in whey protein which has many benefits including losing fat and preserving muscle. Try to get Whey Protein Isolate (WPI) which has >90% protein concentration and most removal (or all) of lactose.

You can use various supplements as long as they don't have complications with your body or your diet. When i was doing pilates private instruction Brisbane to my trainee i also instructed them on using particular supplements.
