I am a group fitness instructor with a strong desire to compete in figure and fitness competitions, however, everyone I know tells me not to bother. You see I am heavily tattooed. (My entire back and several over smaller pieces other places.) They are all artfully done I don't have any biker, jailhouse or kitchen table work, but everyone tells me that in the competiton circuit there is alot of prejudice about this sort of thing, and I've never seen a tattooed girl in any of the magazines. Does anyone have any opinions? I'd love to do this and I've worked very hard, I'd hate for it to go to waste because of the "colors" of my skin!

Competition is wonderful! And I think you have a great attitude. There are cover-ups for tats.....Stage cover-ups....Usually found in your dept. stores. The make-up is called Dermablend. It works GREAT! Hope this helps! Don't let what people say bother you...You want to compete? You'll find a way girl! GOOD LUCK to you;) LeLis
