Hi Amanda, Here are a few suggestions for you: 1.Order the latest Ms. Fitness Video and watch the routines to get a feel for what the judges are looking for and select the routines you like a that most fit your own personal style. 2.Make a list of what you can do, almost do & hope to do by contest. 3.Go to your local Dance/Cheerleading Gym and hire a person or coach that you can work with once or twice a week. 4.See if you can find any Ms. Fitness competitions locally to go to. 5. Hire a personal trainer that understands what your trying to achieve 6. Makeup a portfolio and try to find some sponsors who might help pay for some of your travel, evening gowns, routine outfits and swimsuits etc. 7.Decide what contests fit into your own personal time schedule and then decide what type of eating plan you'll need to follow. 8.Think about what you would like to talk about & convey to others in the speech round. Practice on your smile & walking in heels. This is your time to shine! If you have any questions about costumes and choreographers etc. I would be happy to recommend someone. There are some great programs online for competitors who are just getting started check out these sites. www.cathysavagefitness.comwww.bodyrushpersonaltraining.com www.lorenzogaspar.com www.triple-a.netwww.bodystatement.com www.ocbbodybuilding.com www.lindacusmano.com Linda Lu

This kind of training is very good, especially if there are consistency and discipline. You need a list of what to do, it is advisable to follow a calorie deficit at least for the first time. Workouts are important, but 80% of success is your nutrition.
