HELLO EVERYONE
I HAVE A QUESTION AND I HOPE SOMEONE CAN ANSWER IT. I HAVE STARTED EATING 5-6 SMALL MEALS EVERY 3-4 HOURS. MY QUESTION IS SOMETIMES I GET HUNGARY BEFORE THE INITIAL 3 OR 4 HOURS IS UP. IS THIS COMMON? OR AM I NOT EATING ENOUGH DURING THE INITIAL COURSE OF THE MEAL. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF I AM DOING SOMETHING WRONG OR RIGHT..... THANK YOU

I would try to eat every 2-3 hours. You probably will notice feeling hungry every 2 hours, but that is a sign that your metabolism is speeding up. If You throw a log on the fire every couple of hours the fire wil keep on burning but if you throw a bunch of logs on all at once and no more the rest of the day the fire will go out, its the same with your metabolisim. How many calories are you eating per day?

HEY LINDALU THANKS FOR YOUR PROMPT REPLY. I'M JUST GETTING A FEEL FOR THIS IDEA OF EATING 5-6 SMALL MEALS AND I AM NOT FOR SURE HOW MANY CALORIES I SHOULD EAT PER DAY. I'VE ALWAYS BEEN ATHLETIC FROM RUNNING TRACK AND PLAYING BASKETBALL IN BOTH HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE. I WENT FROM 125 POUND FRAME TO 160 POUNDS NOW. I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO GET MY 125 FRAME AGAIN AND I'M 5'4. I WANT TO TRY THE FITNESS COMPETITION ARENA AND JUST NEED A LITTLE HELP GETTING STARTED. IT IS ABOUT EVERY 2 HOURS WHERE I FEEL LIKE I AM STARVING IS THIS A GOOD SIGN OR NO? PLEASE HELP ONCE AGAIN AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

That is about right as long as your getting the right amount of everything. I believe in a balanced healthy diet especially for fitness competitors not a quick fix such as only eating protein and no carbohydrates. A balance of Protein, low glycemic carbs, fibrous veggies, & some fruits. Do you know how many calories your eating and what your protein carb fat ratio is. You will definitely feel hungrier now that your eating every two hours because your metabolisim is'nt asleep anymore.

I think its not about how much times you eat and what duration you take. In my opinion you are not taking appropriate amount of calories you should be taking. Calculate your calorie consumption and then divide your meal in time slices. Hope this will work.
