Hello. I decided to get in better shape and have better health over a year ago. I am still trying to get started. I am 5ft even 118 pounds. I am not trying to compete or anything at this time. I don't know if I need to loose weight in order to get the best results. After having three kids I don't have any muscle tone and my stomach sticks out. I would like to get a look comparable to the wonderful fitness competitors. I need a simple meal plan with specifics on the supplements. I thought I was on the right track but then I realized that some of the things I was still consuming were not helping. Some examples would be 7 grain bread with peanut butter and a little honey. I read somewhere to cut out wheat products and realized that the regular peanut butter isn't so good for the diet either. I am not fond of protein shakes, but I am willing to give them a try. I am looking to see what protein powders are the best tasting and still work. If anyone has any tips please pass on. I am also looking for recipes like muffins, lean meats or other sources of protein.

You don't sound overweight to me.....you just need to 'shift' your body composition. Its not hard but you do have to be consistent and able to train daily as well as food prep. Not long but you do need to fit in that time. Resources I have a ton of and all freebies but maybe if you post your present diet and training, we can chip in some ideas.....this way we are being focused on your particulars rather than general replies. you are on the right track by getting mentally prepped!
