I am trying to get an estimated of the costs involved with being in the competition. Between buying gowns, suits, travel, and the competition fee, etc. I know that some of these costs can vary but can anyone share a estimate of what they've paid for one competition so I can get an idea of what I might be spending?
Thanks,

You can spend a lot or very little. The price really is up to you Here are a few ways to save money. 1.Get a sponsor 2. Buy a gown on E-Bay or rent one 3. Create your own costume and or bathing suit and stone it yourself 4. Get a roommate at the event and share expenses 5. Compete locally, or within driving distance 6. you can go to Diva Exchange www.divaexchange.com or Lydia Haskells www.proconsignonline.com/home.htmland buy just about everything youi need for a reasonable price.

The Fall issue of Ms. Fitness Magazine has an article about competing when finances are tight. It'll be on the newsstands next week.
