Alright, I just recently watched the Ms.Fitness USA show on January 2nd and I thought it was something I would be able to do. I was a gymnast and dancer in high school which was only about 2 years ago. I have already gained a good 40 lbs. I live in an small area in Pennsylvania and there aren't really any qualified personal trainers at the gym I go to. So, I was wondering if there is any suggestions for workouts that I could do without a trainer at the gym. And another question was what kind of diet do you think works? Is weight watchers a good diet to go by?

Your never ready enough, youv'e just got to get out there and do it. You become ready everytime you make a decision to compete. A great book for you to order would be The Step by Step guide to Fitness Competition Success by TATIANA ANDERSON. In the book Tatiana lists her diet and workout advice, as well as all the ins and out of competing.

Hi Christina,
I read your post in January. How are things coming along with your training? I too live in Pennsylvania. I reside in Pittsburgh, but travel into central PA quite frequently (Altoona, Johnstown Williamsport). I would love to get together with you to practice and motivate each other if you live close enough to meet. E-mail me at anneboland@verizon.net and let's talk. Anne

I live in the Pittsburgh, PA area also. I recently decided one of my dreams would be to compete in a fitness competition. I have no clue how to begin, but I plan on ordering books and working out on my own to start training. I would love to chat with any of you living in PA. Maybe we could share some ideas or meet sometime.
