I do not know where to begin and need your help if possible. I am 28 and have 2 children. I am 5'7 and weigh 145 and it's all fat mostly. Is there any sugestions as to guide me in training and diet along with skin care? I can't afford a personal trainer I have a readmill and a Tahoe gym in my garage. It will all be done here at home and am positive it can be done. Any help would be greatly apreciated

Dear Kellmaker, I would start by trying The Fat Flush Plan written by Ann Louise Gittleman Ph.D C.N.S and for SkinCare her book The Living Beauty Detox is excellent. You can definitely work out at home and get great results, for Cardio you could do all sorts of the things;
1. To burn fat one of the quickest ways is Interval training for example walk 5 min at a quick pace run 5 min at a jogging pace slow down and walk incline 5 min continuing this sequence for 30-45 min
2. To burn fat and retain muscle, sprints are great. Running sprints are one of the best ways to gain definition in your legs and shape up your gluts. I believe running sprints outside with some hill incorporated are best but you can also try walking 1 minute on your treadmill at quick pace and sprinting at the fastest pace you can sustain 1 minute continue walk/sprint for 20 to 30 minutes
and of course there is always for basic cardio, run or walk 30 to 60 minutes. Jumping rope is also something effective and inexpensive you could do at home. Billy Blanks has some excellent Taebo videos you could try to get a great cardio and toning workout and break up your week so you don't get bored just using the treadmill.
If you don't really have much insight into weight training and don't want to hire a personal trainer a video or book could help start you in the right direction. Brad Schoenfield, Carol Semple, Look Great Naked is an excellent book on Body Sculpting. As for videos Cathe Fredrick's Muscle Max & Core Essentials is excellent you can order these through www. collage videos.com as well as view them on line as well as any other videos you might be interested in. I hope this helps get you started.

Since my son who is now 10 months I've lost most of my weight and am stuck at 145. My normal weight is between 120 - 130. Roght now I am going for the soft look. Thanks again

I am a mom too. During my pregnancy I gaines 60 lbs. My husband who is a trainer and my trainer had me do cardio 4 times a week and circuit train 3 times a week. I also went on the south beach diet, which works like a miracle when followed correctly. I lost all 60+ lbs and now am at 17% body fat. Make sure you are patient. The way I look at it is that it took 9 months to put the weight on so it's not gonna come off in two weeks. It took me about a year. So good luck and dont give up

I also gained 60 pds with my son. I have lost 22 of that and although he is only 5 mnths I am proud for loosing that much that soon. I have a gym membership and work out 4 days a week doing 45 min cardio with weight training on certain muscle groups on certain days. I talked with a personal trainer and found out that I could have lost more body fat only if I had followed the right diet plan other than the one i found in muscle fitness for her. i was woking toward bodybuilding like ms olypia lol I was not planning to be BIG, just toned and able to compete in figure fitness etc. However, I was told to follow this meal plan, 6am oatmeal , black coffee, 5oz glass of water with whey protein, 9 am banana or egg white, 12pm tuna salad with flax oil,almonds. 3pm large apple or greek yogurt, 6pm brown rice or potatoes with fish or chicken. Ms dash on mostly everything to add flavor. and before bed 5oz whey protein shake. I was also told to take cytalean fat burner 2 morning 2 evening followed by one gallon of water a day. I am not sure if I am doing the right thing and I want to make sure that it's right.
