Are there any generic tips to you share to get started training to competing?
I am work out a few times a week (4-5 days). I also eat a clean diet (no flour or sugar; minimal alcohol), but I want to take my fitness to the next level. However, I am busy working full time, full time graduate student, and have a family. Time can be tricky.
I am 32 years old and want to train for the Ms. Bikini next year. I've never competed in anything before and am not an athlete. I am 5'3, 121 pounds and 20% body fat. I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
I don't know how to train and diet appropriately for this specific reason. I only stay fit and eat right for generic purposes now.
Any resources you could share would be helpful.

Linda cusamo's Figure Basics "There is a free Figure Basics eBook at angel.lindacusmano.com in the Downloads section. You do have to register to the site to get into the Downloads but it’s free. The book has all the basics to get a first timer to stage or just help someone get the body." ("Designed specifically for Figure competitors, but there is lots of great info for anyone looking to get into shape.") CathySavage at www.CathySavageFitness.com Cathy has some awesome DVD's on posing and showtime prep.
