2 eggs, separated 2/3 c. unsweetened applesauce 1 ½ c. Splenda 1 c. mashed bananas (2-3 bananas) ½ c. oat flour 1 c. whole wheat pastry flour 1 t. baking soda ¼ c. sour milk (place 1 t. in a liquid measuring cup. Add enough skim milk to make ¼ c.) ½ t. vanilla ½ c. chopped walnuts (opt.) light Cool Whip and sliced bananas for garnish (opt.)
In a small mixing bowl, beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Set aside. In a large mixing bowl, cream applesauce and sugar. Beat in egg yolks and mix well. Add bananas. Combine flours and baking soda. Alternate adding the flour mixture and the milk to the sugar mixture. Add vanilla. Fold in egg whites and nuts. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan sprayed with non-stick spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 – 50 minutes. Cool on a rack. Garnish with Cool Whip and banana slices.

Great recipe. I would definitely try it. It is easy to make. But i want to know that whats the real benefits of this recipe? Is it useful to loose weight in a sense that it gives more energy? Or is it used to built muscle mass or is it just a dessert to try out? I just want to know nutritional valuees. I hope its not fattening as its too much mouth watering and i really want to try.
