Hi Sarah, For your food intake lean protein, fruits and veggies, and complex carbs. Lean protein 3-4oz grilled chicken, 3egg whites w/ 1 whole egg, cottage cheese, turkey, fish. complex carbs=oatmeal, sweet potato, Brown rice, Whole wheat over white breads/wraps, beans. Cut out all the sugar, flour! For cardio power walk/ jog at different intervals. Change the speed and incline every 3 minutes for 45min. Good luck. The best advice to stay motivated switch up your cardio, keep it fun. Set new goals for yourself!

hey Sarah For your meal plan try to eat every 3 hrs small portions. 5 or 6 small meals! Each meal should consist of 1 portion of protein 1 portion of complex carbs and a non startchy veggie (greens) broccoli, stringbeans, salad, asparagus, ect. a great way to judge portion size for protein the size of a deck of cards or the palm of your hand, for carbs the size of a tennis ball or your fist.
do cardio on an empty stomach to burn the fat!! 1st meal oatmeal and 3eggwhite veggi omlet, w/ 1 whole egg 2nd protein shake 3rd tuna lowfat mayo or turkey over a salad with broccoli and a sweet potato 4th protein shake 5th 3oz of grilled chicken or fish with brown rice, stringbeans 6th no starchy carbs cottage cheese or protein shake
you can mix and match your choices this is just an example 1 carb,1 protein, 1 veg

Thanks. How about the atkins? I went on it before and it helped me lose weight but then got back to my old [bad] eating habit. What would you suggest?

hey sarah I do not recommend the atkins deit at all. This is a life style change. You need carbs for energy. when you do the atkins you lose alot of water weight so it appears to be working. It is to limited and unrealistic. The atkins has a lot of bad fats, you need lean protein! Also make sure to drink plenty of water! A great book is Body for life by Bill Phillips check out amazon.com. It shows you a great exercise plan and good food selections/ meals!
