I have my first Fitness Competition in less than 4 weeks and feel kind of blind at times. Your forum has helped tremendously, so thank you! I'm unsure about swimwear. This competition is hosted by OCB, and they responded that I do not need a custom swimsuit. I've seen some photos of IFSB competitors wearing the formal custom made suits, and some that seem more casual (floral or simple). What are the requirements for the swimwear (triangle top, how high cut, etc.)? Will it increase my visual appearance to go the extra mile and wear a custom made suit (jeweled & like the Figure competitors), or should I follow their confirmation that it does not need to be custom made? If I purchase a suit, where do you recommend I find one? Any help you can provide is sincerely appreciated! THANK YOU!

You do NOT need a custom suit. Competing can be expensive, put the money where it will serve you better - maybe a beauty/fashion consult, an extra session with your choreographer...) You are being judged on your physique, not your suit. Head out to Wal-Mart or Target and find an inexpensive suit. If you make it to Ms. Fitness USA finals you will be issued a suit to wear so the money spent a custom suit would be a waste.
