I'm new at this... I've got about 30-40 pounds I'd like to lose and gain muscle. I wanna feel good, look good, and see what my body is capable of. I've been reading body for life and it seems great but i have certain food allergies such as eggs, milk and gluten... I've replaced cow's milk with rice milk. As far as workouts go, I thought doing cardio was good but I'm not changing much and was doing 45 min/day. Any suggestions on where to start and what can help me?

Have you heard of The Fat Flush Plan by Ann Louise Gittleman? It is an excellent plan especially for those with food allergies.

No I haven't heard of that...What does it consist of? I'm on track finally with eating 5-6 small meals a day and just joined the gym. The only thing is my breakfast options are pretty limited and I don't wanna get bored of the same foods. I also started taking flax seed oil and upping my weights. Is it true the more muscle you have the more fat you burn or the better it is?

Yes cardio will be effective for the weight loss. You should do the jogging, running, cycling, and swimming etc. in your daily routine for losing your weight quickly. For building your muscles you should take high protein foods along with weight workouts. If your are allergic for the eggs, milk, and meat etc. then you should take veggies protein foods and protein shakes for the muscles building purposes.
