On June 26, 2010, in LA, I am entered in my first competition. I am in the process of writing my speech & would like to know how long it should be. On the website it says 30 seconds in one place & in another it says 60 seconds; I called the man in charge & he said "30 seconds is fine as long as you introduce yourself & talk a little about your philosophy on fitness." Well, I started writing & timed the part of the speech I had written - it was 43 seconds & all I said was my name & where I was from. How long is the speech supposed to be? The man I spoke with gave me the impression he was one of the judges so I don't know. It seemed that the ladies were speaking longer that 30 seconds at the prejudging at last years competition. I need help please!!!!

There is a time limit of 60-seconds at the microphone.
Hmmm - 43-seconds for your name and where you're from? I was just going to time how long it took me to say my name and city/state really slowly... I was distracted by a question from someone in the office... so, I said my name and where I lived, PLUS answered the question asked of me... in 31-seconds.
