I have posted before in regards to getting started and with a little research on this site decided to go on a diet, I never have done before. I am 5'3" 115lbs. i am fine with my weight but the goal is fitness competition. I'm not in bad shape and currently in dance class that keeps me active besides the gym. I have decided to "copy" the LindaLu's Pre-Contest Meal Plan posted in July 2004 to get myself started with what I like and what works etc..the problem is I would also like to incorporate supplements to my diet. I looked up the GLA and CLA,,,,WOW,,,not only are there MANY but some researchers say take 2800mg of GLA daily,,some say take CLA Tonalin brand @ 3.4g daily,,anybody? ??

Hi Jessica, Tonalin Cla is excellent to take with each meal. Many scientific studies have shown tha CLA can help increase lean mass and use fat storage as energy. Other reasearch studies have shown people to lose weight taking Gla with little or virtually no exercise whatsoever. Not that I recommend not exercising of course! As far as the dosage goes I would follow the instructions on the label. GLA is in Evening Primrose Oil or Borage Oil. Or you can just take straight GLA.

LindaLu, I am so grateful to you for getting back to me! I have been tossing these around for a week on what to do and researching,,overwhelming! It's a definate that I am starting Tonalin CLA and GLA. You must have noticed I said I copied your precontest diet. Surprisingly I find myself full and not hungry by the next meal time,,I thought I would have been starving. I'm still working on getting a variety and portion sizes. Another positive is my energy level doesn't seem to run on low anymore. Great Plan Thanks for gettin back to me.
