Hi! My name is Marissa. I live in Wisconsin. I have been involved in my own fitness training for about 7 years now. It all started when I was in college and did Body For Life and succeeded. Now, 7 years later and 2 babies later (and gaining about 40 unneeded pounds). I have set a goal for myself to get in shape to try out for a Ms. Fitness contest (or I'd like to try out for Am. Gladiators). I know the basics of fitness training but I need guidance. I too can not afford a trainer or dietician so I would greatly appreciate any advice. I work at my local YMCA as a personal fitness coach...I just show them how to use machines... and I've been doing the BFL guidelines again...but finding it harder to lose weight due to a low thyroid and being frustrated. My thyroid isn't that bad and its controlled with meds. Anyone have any suggestions on a diet plan, books to read, exercise routine??
Thank you so much! Marissa
